Advance in CPD Partnership with Bangor University Monday 06 October 2008
Advance CPD is delighted to announce that from Autumn 2008 it will offer Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for Law Firms at
Bangor
University ’s newly opened Management Centre, a major new executive standard conferencing and seminar facility. Bangor University Law Lecturers will participate in the CPD courses, bringing their up to date knowledge to the practitioner community served by Advance CPD.
Commenting on this new partnership, Professor Dermot Cahill, Dean of the Bangor University Law School said: ‘This is an important development for law firms in North Wales and indeed in the adjacent counties of England, as it will allow solicitors to complete their required CPD hours locally with all the convenience this will bring. It is also important for the Law School as we develop our links with the practitioner community so that we can assist in analysing and updating on legal issues which face the daily work of the practitioner, whether they be in specialist or general practice’
Advance Principal, Adrian Mason said: ‘
Bangor
University
Law
School has just scored a 92% national rating in the National Law Student Survey. Our involvement with
Bangor
University will no doubt bring similar satisfaction benefits to the practitioner community whose interests we serve. Combining our respective strengths provides solicitors and other lawyers in
North Wales with the best possible choice of CPD events and at a cost effective price for CPD requirements.’
CPD events in
Bangor are scheduled to commence in early December 2008 and will run throughout 2009. An itinerary will shortly be sent out to local firms inviting them to participate in forthcoming events.
