I am a practising solicitor specialising in employment law. I deal in all areas of employment law with a particular interest in discrimination. Employment law is a fast moving area of law. It involves me continually researching and updating myself with new cases and legislation and their affect on my clients. An important part of my job is to keep employer clients up to date with legislation and new procedures on an on going basis, this is achieved by in house training for employees and human resources personnel where required.
Prior to commencing a career in law I worked for the National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society for five years. Initially I was employed as a Graduate Trainee after which I progressed to become one of the Company’s Senior Commercial Underwriters and undertook the ACII insurance qualification.
In my spare time I am a keen walker and spend time walking locally and hiking in areas of Derbyshire and Yorkshire with my dog. I have a hectic social life and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
